About us
Tumaini is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in the Democratic Republic of Congo, headquartered in the city of Lubumbashi, Province of Haut-katanga, committed to providing psycho-social, health and economic assistance to women and girls of the DR Congo victims of rape, sexual abuse and other gender-based violence with intentions to re-integrate them into society.

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide multidimensional assistance to our target population, including: providing health care; (re) orientation and psychological guidance and spiritual guidance, where appropriate; multi-sector training and micro-finance sponsorship for successful reintegration and atomisation. Resulting in a better quality of life and mental well-being.
Our Vision
Our vision is to expand our activities in all provinces of the DR Congo and our challenge is to build “safe homes” for homeless women and girls across the country who are victims of rape, sexual abuse and other forms of violence; the kind that we want to support and to whom we are determined to provide assistance, as well as multi-sectoral training centers capable of helping them to invest independently in their future.
